The relationship between children¡¯s school achievement stress and aggression: focusing on the mediating effect of effortful control

Abstract

|
This study examined the effortful control mediating effect in the association between children`s school achievement stress and aggression. The participants were 441 4th grade elementary students. The research question was tested by using Structural equational modeling anf Sobel test. The result showed that school achievement stress influenced negatively the effortful control. the effortful control influenced aggression negatively, and school achievement stress influenced positively the aggression. The effortful control mediated the association between school achievement stress and aggression.
